The Catholic Committee on Scouting Works with Catholic Scouts to encourage a strengthening of faith through the religious awards program. We believe that all scouts should be actively Reverent and encourage all scouts of every faith to work towards their faith's religious awards.

Within the five counties of the Allentown Diocese (Northampton, Lehigh, Berks, Carbon and Schuylkill) we have two Scout councils: Minsi Trails Council with the council office situated in Allentown, PA; and the Hawk Mountain Council in Schuylkill, PA. BREAKING NEWS! OCTOBER 2008

We are in the formulative stages of creating a Cub Scout sub-committee of the Catholic Committee on Scouting! If you are a leader or parent interested in learning about the Cub Scout religious emblems program and/or would like to assist with our efforts in creating this program for our Cub Scouts, then you need to come to our meeting being held on Sunday, October 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the location mentioned below. This is an exciting opportunity to build, from the ground up, a brand new program for our Cubs which have been left behind for so many years. We will be establishing a mission statement and goals to create a "Day of Recollection" retreat for the Cubs and also a diocesean-wide ceremony of recognition for all the Cubs who receive their "Light of Christ" or Parvuli Dei" awards. Who we are:

The Minsi Trails Council Catholic Committee on Scouting is comprised of members of various units within the Minsi Trails Council. We meet regularly on the third Sunday of each month at 1:00 p.m. at Christ the King School in Whitehall,PA, 3008 Ruch St. next to the St. John the Baptist church. For directions click here
