  • On Saturday, March 13, 2010, several classes will be held featuring the religious emblems programs. The courses will cover the BSA recognized emblems programs, the Roman Catholic religious emblems and awards for Scouts and Adults, and also offer counselor training for both Ad Altari Dei and Pope Pius XXII awards.   • Planning for the upcoming Boy Scout retreat is in full swing. For all Scouts working on their religious emblem, be sure to download and submit your retreat registration form if you have not done so yet. All Scouts are invited to attend and enjoy a great weekend of camping and experiencing our Catholic Faith.
  • Plans are underway for developing the committee and creating several sub-committees that will expand and enhance the programs offered by the Catholic Committee - Come meet with us or contact us to find out more on how you can grow in your faith.

Allentown Catholic Committee on Scouting

The Allentown Catholic Committee on Scouting works with Catholic Scouts within the diocese and encourages a strengthening of their faith through participation in the religious emblems program. We believe that ALL Scouts should be living the Twelfth Point of the Scout Law of "A Scout is Reverent" and can show their devotion by working on and earning their religious emblems.

Within the five counties of the Allentown Diocese (Northampton, Lehigh, Berks, Carbon and Schuylkill) we have two Scout councils: Minsi Trails Council with the council office situated in Allentown, PA; and the Hawk Mountain Council in Schuylkill, PA.
